Alco switcher assisting a 4 unit diesel and a 4-8-4

Subject

Diesel Freight train

Description

Again in the summer of 1949, the preponderance of diesels is evident here;a bad-order car is being set out of symbol freight BP-2 (a Buffalo to Philadelphia train running via the Reading from Bethlehem, Pa.), necessitating the use of diesel Switcher no.105. The four-unit EMD diesel and 4-8-4 no.5213 will "doublehead" the train to Coxton,Pa. ,yards, where the 5213 is being transferred.
