Title
Stopped at west end of Toledo Central Terminal
Subject
Steam M&E Train
Description
Ironically, the most modern facility on the Central in Toledo since its construction in 1950 has been the passenger station, Central Union Terminal. Its activities have of course fallen off drastically, and the freight volume which has held up reasonably well has had to be handled in such antiquated facilities as Stanley and Airline Junction yards. At the west end of the station, Mohawk 3111 is serviced on a Cleveland-Detroit mail and express extra, while B&O 4-6-2 5205 waits to replace a streamlined cousin on the Cincinnati-Detroit streamliner "Cincinnatian."
