Description

Clear block at Mowry as the Cherry Tree-Newberry extra passes this isolated manual block station between Clearfield and Keating. This stretch of railroad is called the River Line since it follows the West Branch of the Susquehanna River throughout its 53 miles. At Keating, the Pennsylvania operators at CT tower handle NYC trains on and off their railroad, which like the B&O west of Clearfield forms a part of the NYC route between Cherry Tree and Newberry Junction. This link consists of trackage rights over the PRR's Harrisburg-Buffalo main line for 45 miles between CT and Rich tower near Avis.
