Another view of the puzzles four years later (1953) has for its center of attraction F-7 units 1807 and 1808 moving out of the westbound advance yard onto Main 3 with BC-1, an 81-car manifest train for Collinwood Yard in Cleveland. Peripheral activity includes a yard engine on the adjacent track advancing a cut from the westbound class yard, and the eastbound humpers moving into the eastbound receiving yard in the left background. A yardmaster's tower now stands in the open space behind the pole at center, and the new Syracuse passenger station is located just south of the main tracks about a quarter of a mile to the east.
