Title

Train DHQ for National Guard troops at Camp Drum

Subject

Diesel Passenger Train

Description

Looking south at Roots, we see a 13-car deadhead equipment train coming from Watertown via the Detour and curving onto the Camp Drum wye behind GP-7 road switchers 5790 and 5789. The National Guard units drilling at Camp Drum now travel by bus and truck; the standard Pullman cars are virtually extinct; and the versatile geeps are pulling freight trains.
