Running light from depot off train no. 10 from St. Lawrence Div., coal tower in view
Subject
Steam Locomotive
Description
This is practically the same scene as that shown three pages back, with the camera shifted slightly southward. The double-tracked passenger main is at left. Hudson type no.5331 in front of the coal dock is ready for the run on train no. 40 to New York (no.5331 goes as far as Harmon), while sister engine no.5227 (foreground) has come in off no.10 of the Saint Lawrence Division from Massena. Next, the outside westbound freight track from DeWitt Yards is occupied by a cut of hoppers being switched by 0-8-0 no.7371, while beside them, on the inside westbound track, a 138-car freight bound for Canada via Suspension Bridge is leaving behind a 3000-horsepower EMD diesel, units 1604 and 1605.
