Title

Bath & Hammondsport RR 2-6-0, caboose and coaches

Subject

Steam Passenger Train

Description

Unwearied by miles of auto travel from such faraway places as Buffalo, let alone by some six hours of railfan activities, enthusiastic “railroaders" climb all over little no.11 and her train as it backs into Hammondsport "yards" on the return trip. Standard freight load for no.11 up the steep grade to Bath is three to four cars; she had all she could do to wrestle four coaches full of humans over the route. A diesel switcher took over in September, 1949.
