Title

Bath & Hammondsport RR on RLHS excursion

Subject

Caboose

Description

The B&H’s one caboose was built for the Erie in the early 1900s. Here it is a short distance out of Hammondsport attached to the rear of the railfan special, which consisted otherwise of engine no.11 and four suburban coaches off the Erie (rumor had it that the latter had been transported from Cleveland). The caboose had been fitted out as a sort of snack bar, but the photographer and some friends found its roof more enticing than its dining facilities during the trip.
