Title

View east at Eastward Tower. Tri-color bracket signal and Eastwood interlocking tower in view.

Subject

Freight Train

Description

This picture, complimentary to the preceding one, includes Eastwood tower in the right center background. On the right are the main tracks, in the center is the running track from the eastbound class yard, and on the left, beginning with no. 1, are the tracks which make up Eastwood yard. The caboose is on the rear end of the aforementioned "City" cut, which is backing into no. 2 in Eastwood (the head end was doubled into no. 3). The string of heavy-repair hoppers at the extreme left are inbound on the north lead, and are part of a cut of 81 enroute from the westward siding at Post to the New yard - and, eventually, to Beech Grove shop. (It will require two more transfer moves, one to East Hill yard and another into the shop area, before these cars are ready to be switched on to the assembly line.)
