Description
This activity in the rain at the west end of Central Union Terminal features J-1 no. 5266 heading no. 312, the day Cincinnati-Detroit train. Behind her are E8s 4088-4089 westbound on no. 35, a New York-Chicago train primarily devoted to head-end traffic, and beyond these units is the 600-hp switcher assigned to the coach job. The suspension bridge in the right background carries highway traffic over the Maumee River and downtown freight yards of the Central and Wabash on the river's west bank.
