Back in May, 1949, still in the same spot but with the camera pointed west toward the yard, we see L-3 3047 opening up out of the eastbound advance yard with a 107-car eastbound symbol. This location is known as Minoa, from the village of the same name whose main street crosses the tracks in the foreground. The eastbound side of the yard includes all tracks up to the small buildings in the left background, and to the left of these is the westbound receiving yard ladder.
