Description

The operators at SK tower control one of the most vital junction points on the New York Central, along with their counterparts at BE west of Cleveland, PO east of Chicago, and perhaps two or three other towers. SK is the east gateway to Selkirk Yard and, when this picture was made in early 1953, governed converging routes into Selkirk from Weehawken, New York and Boston, and the Port of Albany (above at right, center, and left, respectively).
