Train no. 691 with three Budd RDCs in multiple accelerates west out of Pittsfield on the morning run from Boston to Albany. This schedule has since been eliminated, and the B & A first-class lineup now consists of no's. 27 and 28, the 'New England States', and three mail and express trains in each direction.
