Description
The regular "Empire State Express" passes thru Canastota about fifteen minutes after the advance edition makes its scheduled stop. Here she is, fifteen stainless steel cars behind a 4000-horsepower Electro-Motive diesel, gliding along the straightaway west of town at close to the limit of 80 m.p.h. This train, no.51, is split at Buffalo, one section going on to Cleveland and the other to Detroit.
