Title

Double headed Hudsons on train X-35. Tower 50 in view

Subject

Steam Passenger Train

Description

This westbound train is making a movement exactly the reverse of that made by no. 122, pictured just previously. It is X-35, it departed from Curtiss Street, it used main 3 (the westbound counterpart of main 4) from there to tower 50, and it is here coasting around the curve and onto the double track which leads west to Bayview and the Erie Division. Part of its 15-car consist is stretched across mains 1 and 2, which, as they run straight west and out of the picture at the left, become the double-track line of the Niagara Falls branch. Tower 50 is plainly visible under the bridge, which carries Seneca Street, and tower 49A is the building with the white stripe between tower 50 and the rear end of X-35. The latter's doubleheader consists of J-3 no. 5408 and J-1 no. 5222.
