Subject

Steam Locomotive

Description

Being readied for dynomometer test on Mohawk Division. After the large West Albany coal dock was torn down following the movement of the long-haul freight trains to Selkirk 1924-1925 coaling of West Albany engines was performed at the Rensselaer engine terminal. This small coaling tower looks a lot like the one at the Scotia Yard across the Mohawk River west of the City of Schenectady at the beginning of the four track Mohawk Division in the Mohawk River Valley
