Description
Steam locomotive awaiting entry to the West Albany locomotive department at the eastern end of the NYCS property with the east wall of the boiler shop in the background. Note it appears all of the coal has been removed from the tender in preparation for the engine to enter one of the two erecting shops while the tender is dispatched to the tank shop for inspection and if necessary, repairs. The tank shops are located between the boiler shop and erecting shop "d". All three buildings are connected with flow through tracks and they share mutually interior building walls.
