Description
The west end yardmaster gets this view of the pullout operation he controls as he looks out of the east window of the west end yard office, located immediately north of the car shop. Groups one through four are dead ahead, and the eastbound departure yard is on the left. The car shop is on the right, and the retarder and hump buildings are in the right background. EMD switcher 8766 is getting 26 New York cars out of track 29 in group four (the fillout for Blue Island-New York hotshot NY-2).
