Paul Revere was the horse's name, not the man's. Paul was killed in 1911 when 22-year-old Michael Driscoll stole him and raced one of the trains, then tried to cross in front of it. They rider was thrown into a car but survived. Paul Revere did not. He'd fallen in front of the train. The S.P.C.A. came to check him and shot him to put him out of pain. I can send you the story if you like.
