This photo was not taken at Greencastle, IN, but rather at Mitchell, IL. The train is westbound for East St. Louis on the GM&O side of the joint NYC-GM&O double track that extended from Wann, IL to Bridge Junction (East St. Louis), IL. It would have entered the joint track territory just up the line at Lenox Tower.
