I believe the location of this photo is at Troy Union Station. When this locomotive was assigned the number 2043 it was during the period of NYC control of the Rutland, 1905-1911; renumbered to Rutland 43 in 1913. Therefore it seems that while the photo was in Ed May's collection he was surely not the photographer.
